Choose Beige for a Soothing Neutral Tone for your Kitchen

Hisway Painting has been a residential and commercial painter in Nashville, Franklin, and Brentwood for many years. We’ve transformed many kitchens into peaceful living spaces, and would love to work on yours!

When it comes to painting kitchens in many Nashville, Franklin, and Brentwood homes, neutral paint colors create a strong foundation to which you can add more daring colors. One of the most commonly used colors, beige is a safe bet. But there's nothing boring about beige when it comes to painting kitchens. Trending beige colors for 2019 are more diverse, incorporating a lot more gray for a very modern, cool, sleeker look – not as warm and yellow. Many of these shades are in the “greige” family. Beige colors with a whisper of gray in them soften a room’s backdrop and make it easy to coordinate with accent colors and artwork to add pops of color.

More traditional shades of beige will warm up a room and provide a great base for stronger hues, such as deep blues, bright yellows, and brass hardware. Beige also lets built-in accents, like back splashes and counter tops, really shine.

Kitchens and breakfast nooks are where we usually spend many of our waking hours at home. Between cooking, homework, and reading the newspaper before starting the day, this area is one of the most important areas of the home that need to feel peaceful. Beige is a great choice for kitchen color schemes, and provides a soothing neutral for freshening up your own home, or for prospective homeowners when placing your home on the market.

For this Franklin homeowner’s kitchen, we used PPG’s Porter Paints Newport Beige. In 2019, this shade has been replaced, and close matches would be PPG’s Toasted Almond or Dusty Trail.

We love painting homes in the Greater Nashville area, and would be honored to transform your living space to one that brings calm and serenity. Contact us by phone to ask more questions at (615) 595-0207, or fill out a free estimate form below.
