At Hisway Painting, every member of our team has a unique story. We’re a diverse group, but we all have one thing in common: a willingness to work hard and let God walk with us no matter where we’re going.
I have been working at Hisway since 2000, and I love working on residential interior and exterior repaints. I love to watch people’s reactions when they see the new look.
The joy of my life is spending time with my two young sons. When I’m not working I love working with my church, spending time with my kids and watching football. I also love the New England Patriots.
I love working for Buddy and Eileen because they treat us like family. I love my job!
My favorite type of project is pressure washing driveways. It’s simple. I can’t hear my phone ring. And it’s instant gratification.
My family is spread out all over the U.S., which is great because I love to travel. My brother and his wife have adopted four kids and spending time with them is one of my favorite things to do. My dog has been my best friend for 13 years.
I’ve been playing guitar since I was 11 years old. I tinker around on drums and banjo as well. Music is a big passion of mine. I play in churches, coffee shops, bars, music venues, living rooms… anywhere!
I attend a non-denominational church in Franklin, TN. My church family means the world to me.
I enjoy my job. The guys in the crew are great and always have great attitudes. Hisway Painting is an incredible company to work for. I’m thankful every day for my job and for our customers.
I started working for Hisway Painting in 2013. Prior to this, I worked as a painter with another Nashville company for five years.
My favorite projects are exterior repaints. There’s something about breathing new life into a place by freshening up the way it looks on the outside.
God has blessed me with a wonderful wife; we’re celebrating five years of marriage together. We’ve enjoyed every moment together alongside our friends and family. When I’m not working, I love listening to and playing music with bands.
Everything happens for a reason, and for me to be working here is not a coincidence. God blesses this company.
I’ve been part of the Hisway Painting family since July of 2013. Before coming here, I worked as a music instructor.
I love working on anything that involves problem-solving. Whether it’s figuring out how to get into a tough-to-reach area or how to improve the look of an existing structure, if it requires me to think, I love it.
I come from a fairly large family that I keep very close to my heart. They live all over the states from Oregon to North Carolina. I am always working on something unless I am sleeping. But I like to study health, and I play music and perform often.
Working for a company that isn’t only focused on business, but also doing the Lord’s work is great. It’s a pleasure to work with the support of fellow believers.
I’ve known Bud and many of the other team members for almost a decade, and I’ve always been impressed with the way Hisway Painting does business.
I love working on interior remodels because of the satisfaction of transforming a living space into something fresh and new, and because it’s the space where attention to detail and craftsmanship matters most and really gets to shine.
I’ve been married to my best friend Michelle for 14 years, and we have two beautiful twin daughters who are 13 years old. When I’m not working, I have a passion for drums and percussion. I also like to create things with metal and woodworking. These passions are combined in the building of custom percussion pieces in my home workshop.
Although I enjoy painting, it’s not why I joined Hisway. I chose Hisway because of the way I’ve seen Bud operate with honor and integrity towards his employees and customers. It’s more than just a job; I want to be in an environment that fits my values.
I’ve been working for Hisway for a year and a half. Before this I was a manager at a non-profit thrift store that employed people with disabilities and special needs. I’ve done everything from food service to electrical work to leather working.
My favorite work is exterior trim painting, particularly peaks and dormers, on a cloudy (not hot) day. It’s nice to be up high on a ladder with a cool breeze, or up on a roof on a cool day. You can usually get a nice view of the landscape up there.
I am married to Rebekah Anderson, (formerly Rebekah Zegel, daughter of owner Bud Zegel). We live in Franklin, TN with our 8 month old daughter and 4 year old cat.
Aside from spending time with family and friends, I am a writer. I am currently writing a fiction, allegorical, adventure/fantasy book series. I also enjoy playing the guitar, or other musical instruments, from time to time.
Hiring manager, all-around backbone of the Hisway family
“Eileen is the heart of Hisway Painting. She brings wisdom and perspective to areas that I can’t. For instance, about 10 years ago, I asked Eileen to oversee all of our hiring processes because she has a unique insight when it comes to people and what makes them tick. The first question she might ask herself when interviewing a prospective painter is, ‘Would I want this man to be painting in my daughter’s room?’
We would not be who we are without Eileen’s commitment to me, to our workers and to our customers.” – Bud Zegel on behalf of the entire Hisway Painting team.
